St.Louis triathlon
St. Louis Triathlon was the Missouri State Championship this year. About the race, I had an average race but it was good enough for the win with 1h55 minute on the olympic distance. It was a wetsuit lake swim which felt a little bit longer but I had a decent lead after the swim. I tried to focus on being fast in T1 which resulted in the fastest T1 time of the day. Onto the bike, it was a cold morning around 55-60 degrees and the wind picked up on the second loop so it wasn't much fun. I just couldn't get into a rhythm with a good cadence but I was holding okay power and when I finally found my rhythm and started feeling good, we only had 2 miles left. Had another fast transition onto the run. I was struggling with the same problem as on the bike I was holding a good pace but I just couldn't get into a rhythm. Overall, I'm happy with the win and State Champion title. Thanks to MSE Racing for organizing the race and it was fun seeing all the ROCKR Racing team mates on the podiums/top spots.
Can't wait to start doing some longer races since that's my focus, 70.3 and full Ironmans. Next big race for me will be 70.3 Steelhead in 4 weeks. The big races after that will be 70.3 Ohio, 70.3 World Championships St, George Utah and the big race for me this year will be my first full Ironman Wisconsin on September 11th.
